Future Farmers of America (Indiana) named Katie Reichard as the Winner of the Indiana FFA Poultry Production Proficiency. Students who have Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) Projects compete in the Proficiency Program. Katie has raised chickens and other small animals for 4-H Projects and her SAE. She kept records, documented her work hours, and learned Poultry Production skills. As a Sophomore, Katie placed 2nd in the District IX Proficiency Contest. As a Junior, Katie placed first in the District, and her Poultry Production Proficiency was chosen the best of the 12 District winners. The State FFA Convention honored her in June with a plaque and pennant, and recently awarded her $250 cash prize. Katie's State Application received a Silver rating at the National Contest, which puts her in the top-25 Nationally. Great job, Katie!
