9th graders visited the Service Center today to participate in the Junior Achievement inspire / career fair. UC students also gave pitches about why they are employable!

Communication, Collaboration, Problem Solving, Resiliency - hitting the UC Profile of a Graduate! Today, Mrs. VanCamp's "Never Get Board" 7th-grade group was challenged to take minimal supplies and create a game in about 40 minutes. It had to be ready to play. They did an awesome job working nonstop to get it done.

CONGRATULATIONS to Campbell Kerns and Jayson Connor for being selected to represent UCJSHS in the Top 10 for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship! This is an incredible accomplishment. We are proud of how you represent UC!

We are so proud of these young ladies for their accomplishments through their Workforce Wednesday project, Jr. Historical Preservation Society. Tonight, they presented to the RESC school board about their recent Indiana Landmarks Award!

The Skilled Trades WFW group recently visited Culy Contracting. It was a very informative visit. Culy did a great job providing hands on experience and sharing about skills that are in demand.

The WFW Senior Moments group had a wonderful day spending time with the residents at Heritage Assisted Living in Union City. The students organized games and activities, including thoughtful conversation starters they prepared themselves. Fantastic job! The engaging conversations and positive attitudes made the day truly special for everyone.

A HUGE "Thank You" to Monroe Central and University of Northwest Ohio graduate Mayce McCreery for speaking to the Indians on Wheels, Handy Man, and Start Your Engines Workforce Wednesday groups today. She spoke about her career path, UNOH programs, and her drag racing experience.

Kindergarten Experiences - Today was our first “When I Grow Up Wednesday”!
We started by watching a video about a school in Colorado where students helped design their own playground. Inspired by that, we went outside and worked together to clean up our playground using different tools. The students did such a wonderful job working as a team—they were so responsible and took great pride in making our playground look nice! To wrap up, students came inside and created their own designs of what our playground could look like. They had so many creative ideas, and it was a great way to kick off our new Wednesday tradition!
