The Workforce Wednesday group "Booked & Busy" is off and running planning for our first book fair of the year and the energy is AWESOME! This group is full of ideas and the work ethic today was amazing. There was so much collaboration going on in their groups and it was so neat to see!

On Saturday, September 6, students Novah Mote, Rosie Ramos, and London Cotter traveled to Indianapolis to present for Indiana Landmarks about their Workforce Wednesday project dedicated to creating a Veterans Wall at UC! Amazing work!
Last week, the seniors in Mr. Maloy's class visited First Financial bank. They learned how to open a bank account, build credit and best financial practices. Real-world skills!
"Seniors - Jostens orders will all be processed online this school year; students will need to navigate to the Union City Junior and Senior High School UNION CITY, IN l Jostens website ( https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/customer/1072310/Union-City-Junior-and-Senior-High-School/ ) and place orders by 11:59pm on Friday, September 19, 2025. Students who order the Mascot Package or a Class Ring will receive their cap & gown for free (the minimum ordering requirement is cap, gown, tassel and stole), if students choose to order a class ring then the class ring needs to be ordered first then navigate to the graduation page and place the cap & gown order using the code provided from the class ring order.
The Senior Celebration Event will be held on Thursday, October 2nd during lunch; at this event all seniors will receive their ordered items with the exception of caps & gowns as those items will be delivered in the spring."

Our third year of Workforce Wednesday officially kicked off today! WFW is an opportunity for staff and students to spend blocks of time dedicated to project, work, and service-based learning. It’s great seeing everyone back at it!
Congratulations to our UC Youth Salute nominees Jayson Connor, Jackson Cowper, Gavin Elmore, Campbell Kerns, and Nikolai Leedom. Campbell Kerns was selected as recipient of the Award of Excellence!
Wigwam Coffee, an emerging student-led enterprise, is up and running! Students are busy each morning serving up orders to staff all around RESC.
