Thank you to all who stopped by yesterday during the WFW Pet Adoption Event! We had a great turnout and lots of fun. Many visitors from the community, Jr./Sr. High, and North Side Elementary stopped by. Out of the 5 dogs that were on site, 2 have been adopted and 2 more are pending! Thanks to WFW Sizzle and Spice for the homemade dog treats! Thanks to Mrs. Calhoun and her student bakers for the cookies! Thanks to Jeremy Jones and Kyle Woolston for letting us use their spaces!
WFW art and community class decorated two Christmas trees on State Line Street yesterday. This was a task for which the UC fire departments asked assistance. The students created around 40-plus homemade ornaments from water bottles. They added these to the trees along with lights and ornaments provided by the fire department. They enjoyed serving the community, but not really ready for this cold weather. Afterwards, they enjoyed going to Luz Tacos to celebrate our last WFW day this semester.
